The "Saint Nicholas - Andronești" Church, located in Târgoviște on Poet Grigore Alexandrescu Street, is one of the oldest medieval foundations in Târgoviște (the third oldest after the first oratory of the Princely Court and after the small Princely Church), built in 1527- 1528 by Manea Perșanu.

The church is painted in oil by the painter Eduard Săulescu, in 1912. In 1943, the plastic artist from Târgoviște Vasile Blendea painted the tower, in the fresco technique, inspired by the other churches in the area with 18th century painting, then restoring the existing painting.

In the period 2001-2010, extensive works were carried out to consolidate and restore the church. At the same time, the project for the restoration of the interior mural painting was drawn up, obtaining the necessary approvals in order to start the works, works that were finalized in July of this year.

The recent painting was made possible with the help of the State Secretariat for Cults, the County Council, of the Târgoviște City Hall, with donations from the parishioners, and everything was supported by the Târgoviște Archdiocese.
