Geartoglu Church - one of the oldest churches in Targoviste

In the first half of the 14th century, on this place was a small wooden church (9x4m), which was destroyed by fire.

Soon, on the same place, another church was built, made of wall and larger (14.5x6m). These two churches (the wooden one and the wall one) are the oldest monuments in Târgoviște.

If you want a guided tour, you can make an appointment at the tourist guide Gerea Angi, at the phone number 0766 277 441, or at the National Center for Tourist Information and Promotion, at the phone 0245/633 341 or by e-mail at cnipt .tgv @ gmail.com.

The church is located on 17 Stelea Street and is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 08.00 to 12.00.
